Leaking Tap Answered

The tap in the kitchen is leaking where a bolt joins it to the main part (one spout for the 2 taps). I was wondering if i were to stop it leaking do i just tighten it or do i need to do anything extra? Im sure this is really simple household stuff but i dont usually do this kinda thing.
