Lighting An LED With A Left/Right-Click Answered

So I've been working on a project and have run into a snag. I'm trying to wire up a mouse to light one Led when I left-click and another when I right. For now I'm just trying to get the left working. The power that goes to the switch normally isn't enough to make the Led bright, only flicker dimly. So I thought I'd connect it to the power coming straight from the computer and just add a resistor in between. It was bright but was stuck on constantly. I've connected it every way I can think but no dice...have any ideas? RockerX

You could use what you described in the first step, just altered a bit. You could use this:

Hmm... that's weird. I'm trying to upload a schematic but it's not working.

If you had double-pole microswitches you could wire the LEDs independently to the 5V USB supply. How about that?

Hmm, maybe. I'll see if I can try that. Thanks.
