Links not forming properly in comments Answered

Exactly what is says in the title.

I have twice recently left a comment with a link attached to text, only for the link not to work*.

The text goes orange, but nothing happens when you click on it.

The comments I left were here and here.

Links as text, just in case:

(*Was that a sentence? I think it was a sentence, but it doesn't feel like a sentence...)

Try a space before the link and press enter right after the link.
After that you can press space again, type some text and delete the line to get the link back into a single line.
The editor loves to mess up if the is no space in front and behind a link or if you do not press enter right away.

Well this worked just fine, but I have no editor options here to replace the text for the link, in fact there is just this white textbox and nothing else.
Unlike when creating a new topic where there is an editor available.

If you highlight a word in a comment, you should get a small pop-up for formatting, that includes adding a link.

I have had trouble with links too but not in that way, the copied text just appears and then disappears
