Login and voting issues Answered

Apparently my husband has been having issues with logging in. He pretty much only logs in to vote for my ibles, as he's very sweet and supportive. When he goes to login, it tells him that his password is wrong. He tells it to reset his password and it will work for only one login attempt. If he logs out and attempts to log back in immediately or over time with that password, it again tells him that his password is wrong. This happens in both Chrome and Explorer.

On top of that, when he gets logged in, the vote buttons on my ibles don't work if he's using Chrome (his default browser). They act like images instead of buttons. So, after he's already reset his password in Chrome (because he forgot he needs to use Explorer), he has to switch to Explorer and reset it again before he can vote.

Is chrome up to date (newest version) on his computer?

I know Firefox drops glitches and bugs into their old versions when a new one is released thus forcing you to upgrade :( The latest glitch I expirenced was in firefox where no cookies were kept until I upgraded to 36.0.0 instead of 35.9.0

He's very good at keeping everything up to date. Generally he sets everything to auto update, and often whines about how I never update anything until it's broken as you're suggesting.

I get that problem in Chrome every once in a while when ibles has updated the system or there was a glitch in the internet. The problem is compounded if you have the autologin or remember me set, that option sometimes shows up. So you end up with a couple of clear out all cache and cookies and see what sticks. I think your two user problem makes it more complicated. Have him get his own machine.

I've suggested he turn off the "remember me" function to see if that helps.

He is on his own computer, so it doesn't have anything to do with multiple users.
