Long reach lighter for fireworks.
hi i been thinking about making a long reach firework lighter (or just an extented lighter) becuse i cannot reach the floor. I been thinking about some designs , it needs to be 1 meter long and wind resistant. Does anyone have an idea for making one? i have a few designs in mind but i wanna hear your suggestions :D

You could go with a mechanical linkage to a regular butane gas lighter but a simple electric setup might work. Just have a switch on one end of the stick complete a circuit with some batteries that is connected to a short loop of nichrome wire at the end. Preheat for a few seconds and touch to the fuse.

Oooh, what kind of batteries do you think i need?

depends on if you can get your nichrome wire to glow red hot, depends on if you know what nichrome wire is too.

Nichrome wire is same as steel wire right? And thanks for your answers, im gonna try with a 9 v batt and see if it works.

Nichrome wire is nichrome wire, a material to itself.
You need to search for "electric matches", which can be bought commercially (they're used to ignite model rockets), or made for yourself.

Hmm allright, thanks, But it seems like electric matches only can be used once, do you think nich wire can be used several times?

Maybe a couple of times, but you're not going to find any infinitely-reusable ignition system for fireworks.

Oh and it needs to be used many times
