I play magic online for fun and I really enjoy playing commander when I have the chance. This deck is my Red-Black deck I have lots of fun with and it is considered a budget deck. The deck could use some tweaking with mana fixers, such as signets (Rakdos Signet) dual lands ( Dragonskull Summit, Rakdos Cranarium) and mana fetchers ( Corpse Harvester, Igneous Pouncer)
This deck you want to deal damage to your opponent so that the bloodthirst ability will make your creatures bigger and as well slow down your opponent's creatures and as well just simply either outright destroying the offense and/or evade. and when you get a good sized creature out you can just sacrifice it with fling. Sports 2 Planeswalkers and a few other costly cards but nothing over the top. Good fun deck.

I like to pick and choose my cards from MTGOTRADERS.com
and a good strategy I have is quite simply visiting PUREMTGO.com to see what the experts are saying.
Mine is designed to ramp up mana and spam high-powered creatures, and the blue side of the deck is for controlling what the opponent may put out on the field. I've honestly never been that big of a fan of the bloodthirst effect.
The only 2 problems I have with this game are flying, and white restriction cards like Pacifism or Journey to Nowhere. Both are extremely irritating, despite the fact that I run several copies of Naturalize in my deck, which is designed to remove restriciton cards like that, and I also run multiple copies of Spidery grasp to deal with fliers.
Despite all the cards designed to defeat flying and the aformentioned white restriction cards, they still feel highly annoying and overpowered, taking away from a card advantage you worked hard to skillfully build.

I used to play MtG in lulls between PRGs at uni. I got put off when they started adding lots of extra rules like phasing - it kind of lost the simplicity and smooth play that lets us fill an evening when the whole team can't make it.
The game is much more elegant now but they do keep adding keywords for the rules text it seems for each block that comes out. Now with Inistrad they have an entirely new card that you "Transform" by turning the card over but it's nothing like "Morph". In fact the card has two sides. Also the rules text contains hints that help understand what is to trigger. Great game but it's costly.
I've never played online, but I used to play in tournaments and such!
I sold all my cards years ago except for my Angel/Water deck, which I love too much too let go.

I started playing the game a bit late in my freshman year, I'm only starting to get into the game and taking it seriously. I run a blue/green deck.

I used to play. I always sucked at it, but I loved collectibles of any type. I had a magic book once. It sucked.
