Making Solar USB charger- 5.6V too much for an X-Y:5V step up? Answered
The estimated max my (DIY) panel would have put out was 5.0V, but It's 5.65 in the brightest sun nearly exactly 90°
So I wonder is 5.65 outside the input limit for a typical "_ to 5V" step up usb connection?
I have learned that if I had a really wide voltage that I would a boost-buck converter to step it up or down depending on the input. I just don't know if I need that here. What happens if you over-volt a step up?
