Making someone else's Instructable Answered

Are there any plans for a feature that allows one to track who has made which Instructable? It would be awesome if there was an "I made this" button like the "Favorites" button. It would add the Instructable to your profile under the "I made this" heading. On a similar note, it'd be nice to be able to attach a Slideshow to the end of someone's Instructable (with their permission to ensure relevancy, perhaps?) so you can show off your version without just embedding a link in a comment that gets buried in a huge thread. Just some thoughts.

I would like to see this feature implemented too.

A good idea; it's on the list.

On the first, this sounds like a feature that's been requested before. Hopefully adding your voice can help bump it up the priority list! On your second note, why not simply publish your Slideshow directly, and include a link to the original I'ble there. That's a more appropriate way to cite prior art :-)

It'd just be nice to have a list of links to slideshows at the bottom of the original Instructable so that they aren't buried in the comments. Of course you'd always be able to link the I'ble in your slideshow, but I want the linkage to be the other direction so that I can see what other people did after I read the I'ble.

I agree. At the moment, you have to do it by hand --- Add Comment to the I'ble or PM the author, and see if they're interested in updating with a link to your Slideshow. Using the "FLAG" interface or something similar to automate the process (just a new column in the database :-) would be excellent.
