Multiple drills sharing a single power source Answered

Would it be possible to run multiple cordless drills off the same power source? I do not want to run the drills all at once, but rather have them share the power source. I was thinking of modifying an ac adapter with a voltage and amperage less than the tolerances of the drill. Are there any safety concerns? If I do this will I blow myself up? Could I run them at a higher voltage/amperage? Is this idea dangerous and stupid or just stupid?

as long as all the drills are expecting the same power levels (voltage and amperage)....which most cordless drills do, then it's just a matter of having the "inputs" connect correctly to all of them. which i would imagine would be easy to accomplish by making a custom power plug for each of them.

and also have a switching plug so that the battery is off the circuit when it is plugged into the external source. You would have to design something if you wanted it to charge the battery at the same time. Using a portable drill without the battery does throw it off balance in the way you hold it through.
