My bike wheels wont turn! Answered

 Well, I was messing about on my bike with my friend, I went to peddle, heard a huge snap and now it wont peddle. Well, it will but the wheels wont turn when I peddle. Can anyone help?

.  Sounds to me like the gearset has broken loose from the wheel hub. You probably snapped the bolts holding them together.
.  If it is a coaster, you probably broke a pawl.

I assumed by "wheels won't turn" that meant locked.  But I'd bet your're right about the pawl.

.  Who knows at this point? Since "ramp" is in the keywords, a broken axle/bearing/&c is still a definite possibility.

 What i meant by ramp is that i went up a rap a couple of times that when I went to peddle the peddles were turning but the wheel wasn't.

why dont you post a picture of your bike so we can see the problem?

Did you check the brake bracket?  Are they rubbing?

If that's not it then I would suspect a broken axle or a bearing problem then. 

There's not much else that would cause your problem.

You might have screwed the rear sprocket.

Have you checked that the chain is still in the right place, and not off a sprocket and jammed?

Yes, the back sprocket turns, but wheels just dont.

See anything broken?
If the rear sprocket turns but the wheel doesn't something bust there. Does it have hub-gears?
