My coilgun capacitors aren't going above 30v Answered

I made a coilgun out of disposable cameras. i have 6 capacitors running in parallel. I followed these instructions  https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-How-to-make-a-coilgun-from-disposable-camera-/?ALLSTEPS   .When i power it on the capacitors make their usual noise and they start charging fine then when they hit 25-30v they shut off and don charge any further. What is going wrong? The power source is 2 AA battery running in parallel

How long are you waiting before you test it.

In the configuration you are talking about it can take 5 minutes or more to charge the capacitors.

If you are charging while connected to a meter the meter may be draining off the power as you charge. This can cause the capacitors to not reach full charge because the charging is a very small current and the meter uses most of it to give you a reading.

Last The meter can drain off the charge very fast even when the capacitors are fully charged. the best way to check the voltage is to let the capacitors charge and just touch the meter probe to the circuit for one moment just long enough to get a reading.

What's the output voltage of the power supply? (you have measured that, right?)

What capacitors are you using? Are you using the charge circuit from a camera? Why do you have a pair of AA batteries in parallel attached?
