NEED ASSITANT ON A PROJECTTT!!! Answered

Hi, I need major help. I am going to school for graphic design and I'm in a concept class right now. I have a final due on the perception of bumper cars... we have to build a 3-d model of our perceptions. My concept was that I felt real bad and nauseated the whole time. I was thinking of a circled platform that turns and a long pole almost that is attached to it with a round bowl at the end. so it looks like a shower head.

I wanted a circled platform that will spin. With a pole attached to it with a huge upside down glass or plastic bowl at the end of the bowl. So it looks like a portable shower, in which the bowl is the shower head and the moving platform is the floor. I want the person to be able to stand on the platform and have the bowl slightly cover his head. THan I want to spin the platform and while he is spinning, the bowl will stay over his head in place with just random words so that when he stops spinning. He will eventually be naseated and uncomfortable.

It seems like you have the concept of what you want to do already. What kind of help are you in need of? Is it construction advice or do you need a person nearby to actually help? But if this helps, you can get a "lazy susan" bearing plate to construct the rotating plywood platform. You can construct your "shower arm" with wood 2x4s or PVC pipe. You can find a clear vinyl umbrella to use as a big upsidedown bowl, or take a broken one and replace the fabric panels with clear plastic if needed.

Take an office chair. On the chair in the spot where the V of your pants ends up when you sit down, drill a big hole. Find a big beach umbrella/patio umbrella with pole to mount in that "umbrella stand" hole. You can have the person spin in the chair and spin the umbrella.

How about you get/draw a picture of a bumper car from the point of view that you are in the car behind the steering wheel looking out. Make a cutout of this to be able to look through the windshield like a picture frame. Attach it to a platform where you put a large plastic bowl that rotates on the long pole attached to the platform or just use a screw/washers or nut/bolt to pivot on the platform. Paint, draw or attach distorted funky pictures to the bowl, kind of like the decorations on a carousel. When you look through the "windshield" and turn the bowl you get that queasy feeling...the bowl of course is the symbolic "barf bag"... Imagine you are making a potter's wheel and you are looking at it eye level. Good luck.
