Need a circuit that makes a string of LED's slowly glow on and off constantly Answered

sup guys, i need a circuit that makes a string of LED's slowly glow on and off constantly for my PC. Thinking it will use about 10 LED's and will be powered from a usb port (Or two). Otherwise it has to be directly from the PSU.

If interested its for the Silverstone RV01 case, red lights are going on the top.

Any help preciated :D

You want a fade circuit. There are plenty of options available. As Lemonie says - use the molex connector and get +12V and ground. It will be much easier to design a longer string with higher voltage. Don't forget the current limiting resistor(s). For uuber customization I would recommend doing it in software on something like an Arduino to take the load off learning hardware design and moving it to software design.

Run it off a Molex connector - 12V, no good reason to use USB if it's on/in the case.

up/down counter that feeds a digital volume pot.
