New interface for comments editor Answered

Last night, Rachel rolled out a new version of the comments editor.  It's supposed to be faster and easier to use (no more pull-down formatting for paid users, for example, just buttons).

One nice new feature is that you don't have to wait for all the buttons to load if you're just typing plain text.  The back end is still the same HTML-based CKEditor as before.

The forums are retiring in 2021 and are now closed for new topics and comments.

Since I am stuck with an earlier version of MSIE at work, I can't even USE the formatting.....although I can here from home :-)

I LOVE that you can click the little tab in the bottom right and drag the editor box bigger! No more scrolling up and down long posts for meeeee!

Where did you report the bug? I don't see a forum topic...

Direct via email. Don't like posting new topics in bugs as it spams all my subscribers.

I've been able to do that with Mozilla for a year!

Must have been more subtle on the old editor then?

Cool! It always takes Chrome a little bit to load up the comment box. This is pretty sweet
