Old Laptop with no internet
I know there are a lot of Instructables about what to do with old laptops, but mine doesn't have an internet connection and I don't feel like buying the stuff to hook it up since it has windows 98. I was wondering if anyone knew what I could make it into? Thanks.

You could add a cheap USB external drive and use it for a music player, "digital photo frame", ebook reader, ... You can get "the stuff to hook it up" for £10 (or the dollar equivalent)- ask your nearest computer shop for a PCMCIA network card or USB wifi dongle, plug it into your network, ???, profit

It only has a 2gb hard drive

If its fast enough to play music, you could turn it into a fancy large screened mp3 player for your speaker system?

install ubantu, turn it into a server? part it out on ebay? upgrade the hardware and install windows xp, but you need around 512mb ram

Best option seems to be a big digital pictureframe. (You can get the internet with a mobile "dongle" - about 12-15 GBP per month)
