Patio table pocket holes Answered

I have made the Patio table and I was debating whether or not to plug the pocket holes. I am concerned that I might have to tighten the screws over time so should not plug them but  if I do that I am worried about insects (spiders) nesting in the holes - any thoughts ?

You can get plastic plugs for holes in furniture.
They are use to cover unused hole like those for addon parts.
Usual sizes are 5mm, 6mm, 8mm sometimes 10mm.
Should be available in most hardware stores.
You can also use grub screws of the right size to put in the holes.

stuff them with fiberglass insulation (the pink stuff) or aluminum foil, or spray foam

If you're worried about bugs in the holes but still want access to tighten the screws, perhaps you could plug the holes with something removable. Maybe something like an oil-based clay (like sculpy) that won't ever dry out, or crumpled bits of fabric?
