Photo orientation bug ? Answered

Hello,

I know that this sounds unlikely but if I re-orientate a photograph in Preview on my Mac and then put it in an Instructable, it reverts to the original orientation.

This has only been the case on my current Instructable.
Has anyone else found this to be so ?

Also I still cannot reply to comments left on my current Instructable.

Thank you.

On windows xp, sometimes if you do not force a save after rotating the picture in the file preview, the setting gets lost in other programs. Not sure if that is the same with Mac.

Hello,

Hey, instantaneous reply.

I tried it again with a forced save; but to no avail.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

last resort, rotate or crop and then save as - some other file name. Something must be stuck.

Hooray,

Even though the image opens on my Mac the right way up, if fails to in the Instructable . . . but I tried , as you suggested, rotating it backwards and forwards a few times and saving again and it seems to work.

Thank you.

Images:
Instructables will display the images as they are saved on your computer, if it appears upside down then you need to resave it on your computer in teh correct orientation and then upload it again.

Replying to comments is a known bug issue and we're working on fixing it in the next release.

Thanks for getting back to me.

The images had been saved and did open in Preview the right way up but, honestly, would not open on my Instructable correctly. . . anyhoo it's all ok now,

. . . . well it works for some of the photos but not others . . . and also the only way that I can reply to you is by opening "he "reply" box  in another window. . . . I think that the Instructable robots need a rest.
