is it ok if i use a picture of an iteam the picture is from a store like amazon on a instructuble that i will want to post for a contest

I have used a few pics that were not mine, but only to give an example of the materials needed.
I don't think it is allowed in contests.

Nope! We need original photos for contest entries. :)

The only place we really accept stock photos are to show what tools + materials are used.

yes i meant like just to show what you need to use and it only one picture of the iteam that you can actually buy
