Please help be build a custom battery pack Answered

I’m SO confused!

I’m trying to build a custom battery back that can run my notebook computer,and gadgets and can be solar charged.Every part I need seems to be on this site: http://www.batteryspace.com/

I’m interested in using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4, LFE) batteries.

Where I’m confused is when it comes to the electronics that protect the battery and allow it to be charged:power management boards, charge control boards, and solar charge controllers.

I would be greatly appreciative of someone who could consult me on this project.(and yes I called the manufacturer – not a whole lot of help due to language barrier).

I think that a better knowledge of batteries, DC power, and how this all works may help me if you could recommend a CLC class or book that would be great too.
