Portable audio device with usb sticks to plugin?
My two ipod classics crashed recently. At the same time I got a new car stereo that you can plug in usb sticks. It got me wondering, is there a portable audio device that I could plug these same usb sticks into to listen to music whilst I am walking/moving around?

I have a couple of these they work great although they don't use a USB to store the music but use an SD card but almost as neat and only $8 - £4.99.
your going to need to do some work though, No case, No amplifier, Needs a micro to drive it - A Picaxe 08M will do it though.

Thanks for your advice so far, but I am looking for a portable unit like an ipod, something I can clip on my belt or put in my pocket. Maybe such a thing doesn't exist...

Many hifi systems these days have a USB port. Look around.

Yes, a Raspberry_Pi single card micro computer, read up on it !

It is not a stereo player or a dedicated device but can be made to play sticks and easily portable. I liken it to a media center..
