Prevent tool-head from dragging across the stock top? Answered
Thanks for the detailed class. I ended up scaling the model down(to save material) and cutting it out in plywood(cheap).
One problem I faced with the CAM part is that when I started the job, the tool-head went to origin(bottom-left point on top of plywood) and then moved to the first point(back point of arrow). This meant it dragged across the top of the stock at Z=0 and left a line which as shown in attached images.
How can I prevent that? Setting my TOP height above the stock top surface means it wastes time air-cutting material that isn't there?
