Pro Member Answered

I have a pro membership. Why am I continually badgered to become a pro member when I already am one and sometimes I have troubles downloading PDF'S. Why am I being made to jump thru so many hoops just to enjoy the benefits of pro membership every time I log in???

Where are you being badgered to be a pro member? I'm not sure what would be targeting you if you're already pro and logged in. If you could take some screenshots, or give a few detailed descriptions so I could try to find them, it would help a lot.

Thanks!

Hello and thank you for your timely response. Please excuse my ignorance but I am not sure what you mean by "screen shot" Yes I am running a firefox browser and am very pleased with it but the problem might just be in the cookie settings. Anyway this happens anytime i try to access my pro membership privileges. Screen goes dark and says I have to become a pro member to access these features. sometimes I have to sign in 2-3 times with my user name and pass word before I can get it to work right. By then often I loose interest or just plain run out of time and patience. Please no one be offended it is probably just a glitch somewhere but in my opinion paying pro members should not have to jump thru hoops to access their membership privileges.

It definitely sounds like you are not accepting cookies from Instructables. In Firefox, go to Preferences -> Privacy, and press the "Exceptions" button next to "accept cookies from sites." You should get a popup box with a text-entry line. Type "www.instructables.com" there, and hit the "Allow" button.

If you've got your browser configured to reject cookies automatically, that is a great policy, but you're going to have problems with almost any site which requires username/password log in, and also with sites used for online purchases.
