Problem with Editor--Unable to enter text
My earlier instructables were easy and the editor worked fine. I'm running Windows 10 now (vs. 7 on my old machine) if that makes a difference. now I click "start instructable" and a box comes up to "enter a title".
But the box is not active. Does anyone have an idea what is going on? I have not used Instructables for several months, but something is different here.
Thanks for any advice. I'm on Windows 10, and tried it on MS Edge and also Firefox.

Try Chrome as well. I cannot make a clear guess as to what is causing this but clearing your cookies may help. It could potentially be a JavaScript issue, though I doubt they use JavaScript just to make text boxes, but it can't hurt to double check that it is up to date as well. Keep me updated :)

Hmm, I updated Java in firefox, and also tried Chrome.
This operating system is just the worst thing I have experienced. It crashes when I try to download the instructable app too.
Thank you for the suggestions. I emailed tech support--maybe they know about a glitch in this thing. I will try to get my other laptop functional enough to do this. I wish that you could use the old editor. that thing worked perfectly!
thanks again,
John

You should be able to, at least, you have the option on phones.

yes, it worked great. I just had to get past the first unresponsive "title" page (on my phone) and then I could open the draft like normal. A bit of a pain, and I have no clue why my phone works but not my laptop. But , whatever. It worked!
thank you again.

I found a way to cheat this--My problem was getting past the inactive title step, but the step seems to work on my phone. So i did the title, saved it (on my phone) and now can open it from my laptop.
Wow, Windows 10!
thanks again for the help,
