REMOTE CONTROL Answered

i'd attached two pictures here. can anyone help me with this? at least let me know what it is called so i can further search how to utilize it with my device. is it possible to use this with arduino & how i connect them? if possible i want to use it as my remote control for my device. it is wireless. however i don't want to use it as wireless. help me please because using push button does not work. thanks.

The keypad is matrixed, but all the leads are terminating inside that potted lump. So it would be tedious to try to sort them out (plus, it would use up all your Arduino's inputs).

So the better solution is to read the signal at the IR LED. I've seen existing libraries that will interpret the signals from most brands of remotes; http://www.righto.com/2009/08/multi-protocol-infra...

Actually, even more elegant is to add an IR sensor to the Arduino: https://www.instructables.com/id/The-Easiest-Way-to... That way, you could still use the remote as a remote if you chose to at a later date.

At this short range, and using an analog pin for additional sensitivity, I'm willing to bet an IR LED would function as the sensor, too...

Well if you want to use it as a key pad signal wires to the IR remote and power wires to the battery terminals.
