Resuscitation of THE Glue Stick? Answered

I found some old glue sticks in the "just in case" cupboard [just in case I might need it at some point :) So, after reading the lesson I sussed them out and they were dry and hard :( Of course, now I know better and I will put the new ones into plastic bags. Still, if these ones I have can be brought back to life you will tell me how to do it, right? Cheers!

Ah, alas your stick is dead. RIP glue stick. What you CAN do is wash the applicator and use it for something else! Once my glue sticks are toast, I'll wash the plastic applicator in the dish washer then use them for salve sticks.

The solvent for ordinary glue sticks is . . . wait for it . . . water !
So just put a few drops of water in the stick and leave it for a while to soak back in.
(Maybe a few days.) My experience is that this restores them perfectly.
