SR- 47 gun
I am in the process of making a new gun. It may not be fantastic, but I know with yalls support it might be near it. It is the American version of the AK 47. It resembles the M4. I'll post some pictures, and right now, I'm working on the stock. I think that dutchwarlord's M4 stock is pretty cool. It doesn't matter if this is a working model or not. I really want to get this up and made. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to yalls suggestions. If anyone wants to help me build this gun, just PM me.

Most American rifles resemble the M4.

Is it just me, or are do all modern rifles resemble the m4? Compare it to the Diemaco c7, the M16A4, the M16A1, the M110, and so on...

XM8? G36? Steyr AUG? Not all, just most American ones.

Steyr AUG is Bullpulp I think.

yea it is. it's also known as the StG 77 (i think). but wat im gettin at is that most modern day assault rifles have curved magazines, which the StG 44 introduced.

Just a little factoid: There is an STG45 (M)... Not really different from the STG44 except for the magazine and the barrel... check it out on wikipedia.

It is, but how is this relevant?
Reply 11 years ago
well, i guess ur right about that, but, tell me if im mistakened, but don't they all have a curved magazine? the StG was the first gun to have a curved magazine. it was found that you can store slightly more bullets in a slightly less space consuming area.

Yes, they all have a curved magazine because of the reason you stated. A rifle round casing has a greater diameter than the actual bullet, meaning you can bunch the bullets at the front of the mag, and then have the casings 'fanning' out from there.

well, the M4 was modeled after the AK 47. During WWII, the Germans created a LMG (light/large machine gun) called the StG 44. Sturmgewehr 44 (StG 44) was German for "Storm Rifle 44" (may notice name resemblence some of The Jamalamans (pretty sure i didn't spell his name right) guns). The AK 47 was based on the German StG 44, and is the basis of most modern day assault rifles. (I did a project about the StG 44.) that may be the reason that many assault rifles of today (M4, M16, Diemaco c7, and loosly the M110.)

Hooray!!! A person who understands the history of the STG44... Even though it was never an LMG... It was considered an LMG at the time since it was classified as an assault rifle later...

yeah, I guess you're right about that... :D

looks pretty cool. Doesn't really seem like an AK though. It seems a lot like an M16 base. We're about the only country that hasn't copied or made our own design of the AK-47.
Reply 11 years ago
ur right it does. probably the only difference is that it uses the same type of caliber that the AK does, so u can use AK 47 mags as ammo. actually pretty kool idea. i'd never heard of it before. check CAR-15 out. it's a well unknown gun also!:)
