Scrubs? Answered

I was recently in a car accident, where they had to turn the car into a convertible to get me out. I'm fine, and my girlfriend is far better off than i am, but they had to cut off my cloths, and her shirt, and what we lost they replaced with paper scrubs. Is there anything that can be done with these? I don't want to throw them away, and I was hoping for a cool nerdy project I could use them for. Thanks

I am a nurse and can tell you from experience that you can gently hand wash them many times. When they start to break down, perhaps you can see if they will recycle in a compost pile? I don't know if they have polyester fibers in them but they just might (which is not good for compost piles).

I believe it's a reinforced paper material.  It has a lot of recycled cotton fiber mixed in with the paper fibers.  Durable for about a day.  I've seen similar "hasmat suits".

Halloween costume?  Since they're paper they were meant for onetime use.  I doubt that there is any way to clean them with out destroying them.

They did their job for you maybe now it's time to recycle them.

I'm just going by what they called them. I don't think they are actually made out of paper. But I haven't really messed with them since I got out of them. I'm just too sore to mess with it right now.
