Seal DIY wallpaper Answered

I'm hoping to use some old beano comics as wallpaper in our bathroom and looking for a suitable sealant to ensure that the paper doesn't soak up moisture.

I've found examples of similar projects elsewhere using books and newspapers, but none where a sealant has been applied.

The closest product I've found to what I'm looking for is "Zinsser Gardz" but I suspect this might cause the ink to run. Can anybody confirm or correct me on this, or recommend an alternative?

I'm going for a matte finish if possible and the paper will probably be adhered using regular wallpaper paste - unless I'm advised otherwise.

PVA glue (white glue) watered down will seal paper. dries clear.
