Secondary Images with Notes Not Working Answered

I just joined Instructables yesterday to post my first tutorial.
I created the entire thing and now it seems that my images are smaller than other Ibles, and when you click on the secondary images of each step, the pop-up asks you to join.

I have seen discussions about this requiring an account or even a Pro account, but it seems that there are existing Ibles that show the larger images and allow you to click secondary images with notes. I'm not sure of the current policy. The last thing I read said that all users would be able to view all images. I can view the large images if I am logged in, but I want people to be able to visit the Ible I created without having to create an account, just as I have enjoyed Ibles this way in the past.

So is this only a restriction for new users and new Ibles?

Please help!

Thanks,

Wally_J

Not sure about the image size thing. The only images in your Isntructable that are small look like they were downloaded from somewhere else. They won't get any bigger than their original size. The policy of requiring a login for secondary images has been in place for several months now.

Hi, Some of your images have odd dimensiong (e.g. sander.jpg) others are just small (Googled?) I don't have a problem with these but I've paid. Maybe they decided to restrict secondary images after all? L

I wasn't saying I did, just that they better not have - "Oh no you DIDN'T!", as in an expression of shock and hope that it is not so. :P

I just logged in the Kitewife's non-pro account, and I could see 2o images.

Why does being in the grove sound so much like being in a rut? :-)

It seems that the restriction is for people to login to see the larger secondary images and their comments. If I would have known this I might have made each image its own step. However, I think this new policy is killing the beauty of the site. If the owners of the site persist, people will go elsewhere... Maybe when I get done with my current programming project, I'll go create a site just like this but with all the features for free. It isn't that complicated. And people love this site because it has been free and easy (not having to be a member) for a long time.

>>It isn't that complicated. Heh! You know, Eric should have consulted with you much earlier; he's wasting all this money on a dev team. Silly Eric. (Have fun. Good luck with that. ;) )
