It's finally time for me to give something back to you guys with me always asking questions ans all, I give to you the loss of hearing for 24 hours, enjoy.
Yeah, I use it in pyrography, it is one of he nicest woods to burn onto...Basswood link and I especially like the form of it with the bark on it like these Basswood slabs for pyrography
In the percussion industry, basswood is sometimes used as a material for drum shells, both to enhance their sound and their esthetics. Mapex VX, Sonor Force 507, Pearl Vision, Tama Superstar, and Ludwig Accent drums all contain basswood plies.
I know that ain't as much boom however you have to note how I have a 1200 watt sub connected to a 300 watt amp, so of course it won't shake like that until I get a bigger amp. When I do get my car, I'm buying another 12 to go with the one in the video and a 18 inch and have a triple subwoofer setup, it'll be pretty close to that.
. The only thing that saved my ears was the fact we didn't have multi-KW amps back when I was that age. 25W was a pretty big amp. It was the glass-pack mufflers that made my car loud. LOL
25 watts is small even for head units now adays. I've seen 450 watt head units before, but they're pretty big. I have a rather unnecessary craving for bass.
Ah yes, I opted for "quiet power" headers, but they weren't all that quiet either.
What took my ears out was working for years with a "band" printer running off the 4381 mainframe...there were many a time we had to run it with the top up...and it was like working a newspaper printing press without earplugs.
put your hat on straight.
or backwards if you must.
you know those knobs that walk around with there hat sideways? ya, it looks just a stupid on you as it does them.
Not tryin' to crap on ya..... just a pet peeve I can't help it, its just dumb.
I know man, I was trying to make it look like pimp my ride where mad mike screams "It's straight to ridiculous bass" In the couple episodes they were installing MTX Jackhammers (thats 12,000 watts?)

Wow, I never figured you could use that soft of a wood in an instrument.

Yeah, you would almost think it would dampen or dull the sound somewhat...I hadn't know that until I looked it up to find references to how I use it.
