Softball on baseball bat? Answered

I want to use a bat called the XL1 on a softball for a game. Would it hurt the bat/damage it.

It won't damage the bat at all but it could be a little light for the heavier softball. This won't cause any problems just a slight loss of power (the upside being a higher bat speed).

The biggest question is what type of softball game is this? Is it a league or just for fun? If it's a league then you need to check what sort of rules and regulations they have setup for bats. They tend to mostly just regulate weight and length (and maybe barrel diameter) but some leagues don't allow some tech like triple-walled barrels and such.

If it's just for fun then swing away.

i believe softballs are softer than baseballs. I don't think it would hurt it but they are obviously different shapes so someone might call you out on it. I don't see any harm happening to your bat.
