Someone can help to build a small system to mix three gas from three various tanks and compressing it in a fourth tank? Answered

I need a small system to mix three gas (carbon dioxide, helium and hydrogen) from three various tanks and compressing it in a fourth tank. I don't need high pressure, but I need extreme accuracy and purity in the ratio of the mix. I want to try different ratio in gas mixture, then I need to regulate any single gas amount

The only real accurate way to do this would be to use Mass flow controllers, from someone like Tylan (or whatever they are called this month - long story)

They ain't cheap, but you can pick them up on Ebay for ~200 USD if you're lucky. They are calibrated SPECIFICALLY for the gas you push through them.

Hi there,

Not sure if this is even still relevant to you, but the Mass Flow Controllers on ebay are as low as $30 each. WHile they are calibrated to a specific gas, they can be recalibrated to any gas.

Have you gotten anywhere with this project?

What for?
Why not use the blended gas stream direct from the three cylinders?

That doesn't answer my question; i.e. why blend it and put it in a tank, then take it out of the tank and use it, when you could omit put it in a tank, then take it out of the tank?

My design would be for a gas flow laser , so I need to blend the gas and put it in a little tank, than connect this tank to the laser.

I don't have experience, it's my first project...

Why not just blend the gas as you need it? if it flows, mix three flows - you need good regulation though (steve).
