Suggestion - Blocked Video Answered

Many of us out here have firewalls that block video. The result is a box with the 'X'. This looks kludgy. Is there anything you can do? Perhaps show a picture in place of the video?

Thanks for the caution, but I am not doing anything to violate the policy. I am a 25 veteran in IT support. I thought about it, and there is something they could do. Rather than make the link go directly to a video, they could put up an image and link to the video. But regardless, it is their site. An example of this is Revision3.com.

Reconfigure the firewall. Or are you talking about watching video at school? Video is usually best for showing what's in the video, a single picture isn't going to be much use. L

The browser displays the X because it can't load the video, this site can't fix that. Work is equivalent to school for this question, because both will block content to reduce "misuse" of IT facilities. You can search here for fixes otherwise it's down to work's IT policy.
Be aware that violating company policy may be a disciplinary offence and they might be able to dismiss you (legally) if you do this.
