Greetings,

I wish I could edit my original comment.

I want to change the channel automatically on my television, not some other device. And I do not want to record anything. This means sending remote control signals.

I know what times what I want to watch comes on, and I want the channel to change automatically.

Decent tv card on a computer and mythtv software should do that for you. total cost? under $100.

Well, you used to program your VCR to go and record your scheduled programs. There are now computer versions of it. If you wanted to set the time on your VCR, that is a different story.
