With a bigger hammer! ;) Seriously, how can we answer this without any details provided at all? What materials are involved? How is the wheel attached to the car? If nothing is broken/damaged then why is the wheel off?
I am thinking the fact that it is the uh, "front left wheel", that must be an important detail. I mean, if the wheel came off from a different location, it would be a totally different problem. ;-P

Ah, left front... must be fixed in an anticlockwise manner. :)

I'm going to *guess* that it's push-fit wheel and you just need to push it back on.
Without photos, that's the best you're going to get.

So... photos!
Give us decent close-up shots of where the wheel came from, and the wheel itself.
