The three buttons on the front of the instructables robot, what do they do?
You'll have to forgive me if this has already been addressed elsewhere. I was wearing the very snazzy Instructables robot tee-shirt of which i am now the proud owner and my wife posed the query over sushi the other day, I didn't know what to tell her, lol. Does anyone happen to know? Thanks!

I always thought they were robot nipples.

How's about this? In accordance with the "be nice policy... Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil? Though not necessarily in that order, lol. Cheers, keep em' coming!

They are merely placebo buttons. To the common observer, they have some sort of functionality but in reality have no effect when pressed. Other common placebo buttons are walk buttons to cross streets or office thermostats. They all give an illusion of control but offer no real world functionality.

I dunno but the the opening below the buttons has been referred to as a fax slot.
