Thick Rubber Coating Answered

ive been disapointed in products marketed for dipping tool handles. in my experience, they do a very thin coat. storebought tools with dipped handles have a nice thick coat. how can i do that at home?

Look in the plumbing aisle or Harbor Freight, they have the self-bonding silicone rubber tape. It is used for pipe wrap repairs but also works like bike handebar wrap. Once it fuses itself together into one big thick coat, it makes for a durable and waterproof - slip resistant handle coating. You could have another foam layer wrapped under like the gel from a mouse pad to make the grip cushy.
