Tops of cans Answered

I have been saving tops of veg and food cans cut with the new type can openers that leave nice edges and was wondering if anyone can give any suggestion on what can be made with these. Have many of them all sizes and thought some day I could do something with them. I just can't come up with an answer. So if anyone can give me some advise on this please give me a email at djmarcel@mchsi.com thanks and have a great day!!!

Hi there!

I'm roaming around to find my way in here. I noticed your question and I think I have an idea for you.

My Instructable is under Crafts. It is for upcycling a plastic jar by encrusting it in sawdust. These items are just wonderful, be they plastic jars, glass jars, or cans. (Up-cycled Plastic Lined Wooden Jar)

I have used cork closures for a lot of things and recomment Jelinek Cork, online. The CSRs are usually very knowledgeable and happy to help.

The kind of cork stopper you want for cans is called a, "bung." They are popular with pottery artists and come in so many sizes that you'll be inspired. Some can be ordered as few as 10 at a time.

Happy making!
