Universal DC to DC adapter? Answered

Does anyone know where to purchase a universal DC to DC adapter? I'm trying to run a webcam off of a specific amount of electricity from a battery pack.

There are circuits to build. What kind of battery pack and voltage is the battery pack? car battery/small cells? Keep searching...

I was afraid I'd have to do something like that... straight electronics builds from schematics are a little beyond my intelligence at the moment. I'm uncertain as to the specific electricity needed, i haven't decided on a webcam yet. I'll probably try to run it off of 9v batteries.

most webcams are just a USB connection to the PC, +- 5 volts. Maybe find one of those usb power pack extended battery units for cell phones/mp3 players?
