Upload to image library not working Answered

I am currently working on a new Instructable and noticed that I can not upload any images to the library.
It does the actual upload but the page turns white after that and there is no new image to be found in the library either.
When I click on "Done" all I get is the top bar without an image.
Cleared browser cache and history and also did a reboot of the computer to no avail.

Is the problem on my end, someone working on the system or is it really a new bug?

this is happening through the regular web based editor at https://www.instructables.com/editInstructable? when did you first notice this happening?

It would be helpful to know your os (Windows/Mac/Linux) and browser version (chrome version xxx) so we can take a look.

Clearing your cache and cookies, and disabling any browser add ons you may be using are or usual first things to check.

I tried with both Firefox and Chrome using the standard ways through the browser.
But if I selecte the draft from my profile the problem is the same.
Running on Win7 Professional, FF38.01, Chrome 43.0.2357.65 m .

Are you still seeing problems here? We've made some changes that should speed up publishing for most scenarios. I'm wondering if that was the problem here -- a timeout during publish. Are you still having issues publishing and/or uploading new images?

I was using Chrome for the time being, but a quick check with Firefox confirmed:
All working again :)
Thank you very much!

It can't be that I am the only one with this problem as new Instructables pop up every day.
Which begs the question for me:
What is required to use the image uploader successfully?
I tested Java and Flash successfully in both browsers, can upload images to hosters with no problem, just not here :(
At this stage I have to assume something is blocked at my end but running out of ideas what to check as I have no problems at all with other websites uploading stuff.
Working on an Instructable that I would like to publish to get some assistance from other users but without a cover image this not working and I don't really want to use an existing and totally unrelated image from my library.

Ok, update:
I completely removed Chrome and installed it new.
Now in Chrome the image upload works, Firefox still showing a blank, white page after the upload.
Will see what I can find for FF.....

As far as error messages go, this one is as usefull standard Microsoft error messages....
When trying to publish with Chrome it works.
The difference is with the image, it Chrome it is being processed properly while in FF the process stops same way as the actual image upload.

There's just been an update to the image uploader. I'll poke somebody.
