Uploading vertical image help
I'm trying to upload images to my first instructables. The first picture I uploaded in the intro was a vertical picture and uploaded fine, but the rest of my vertical pictures in the steps are all turned to the side so they're landscape instead of portrait. I've tried uploading them a few times but it still doesn't work. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

There's no reason for the upload to rotate images - are you sure they were the right way round before you uploaded them?
Did you remember to save them after you rotated them?

I check the photos and they're all right side up. I fixed it by uploading them to flickr first and then from flickr to the image gallery. A little roundabout, but it gets the job done. Thank you for helping!

I have this problem too, except I don't have a Flickr and am not allowed to get one either... What do I do? And could Instructables add a rotate function into the photo library for easier use?

We're looking into adding basic photo editing functionality to the image uploader section, but it takes a while to figure out how to code it, and also where exactly to place it.
With the photo rotation problem, I've had this issue in the past as well. I've found that when I save the file under a new file name, the new file works fine.

Nice. Thanks for working on it!
I'll try the saving trick. Hope it works!
