Used 35 mm cameras
As I was looking in a thrift shop recently, I realised that all the ones I had been to had these old 35mm film cameras for a really cheap price. The burning question I had was what could be done with these cameras and the parts in them? Are there sites where this is addressed? There must be a ton of things to be made with them and they will become re-purposed materiel. How about a contest?
Anyone?

Actually I can think of two, one of which I have written an instructable for, and the other should be coming up soon! :)
First, on the bottom of most cameras there is a removeable or molded tripod mount. This can be reused for creating the Duct Tape Cell Phone Tripod Case https://www.instructables.com/id/Duct-Tape-Cell-Phone-Tripod-Case/
Second, the viewfinder lenes (where you look through to frame your shot) can be reused as a "macro" lens for most cameras with a little work. The viewfinder is comprised of two lenses, one simply magnifies and the other one is concave to provide a wider angle view.
Additionally, the straps on most cameras are eternally useful.

Thanks for the reply. I've used a few of the physical parts, but hadn't thought to use the mounting screw. Guess I'll have to go back and find the carcass and get to work. I haven't tried the lenses either. That's next.
I'll be looking for your next 'ible.
Thanks again.
