User having problems creating forum topics Answered

Instructables user Lithium Rain send me the following message this morning at 11:02 am:

I can't seem to submit forum topics - the "preview" button doesn't take me to the next step (so I guess that's another bug!), but my main malfunction is I get the little box telling me to Go PRO to get more comment features...except I'm already pro! Chrome 8.0.552.215 on Ubuntu 11.04. Do you mind posting this for me...? I can't seem to submit it. :( Thanks, Lira

I have noticed several minor glitches today, probably fallout (or live bug fixing :-) from the big rollout last night. I hope Matt or/and Rachel can look into this one.

The forums are retiring in 2021 and are now closed for new topics and comments.

Clarification: the "not showing up in the topics list" part is fixed.

Actually, I guess it's all fixed since the weirdness earlier.

So...you're saying it's all good at this point? See...if I just wait two days to check the bugs forum, they all seem to work themselves out.

(sorry for the delay)

I'm still having the same formatting problem, lemonie mentioned it too. I seem to be able to submit a Topic, though I must note that it seems weird to click on something that says "I Made It" if I want to ask a question or share news in the Forums.

Yeah, several of us have mentioned our unhappiness with "I made it!" as the general purpose submission button. I don't think we need something for an enthusiastic ten-year-old. We aren't all K'nexer's, after all.

For forum topics, I never go through the submit page. If you use the "all topics" page (that's the profile Shortcut named "Forums), you can click the New Topic link directly.
