VALVE NOISE AFTER ENGINE REBUILD
I just finished rebuilding my Audi 80, 1.8 engine in which I removed the
Valves, removed all stuck carbon, watch with petrol and reset in order
But when I started the engine, I noticed unwanted noise from the cylinder. I hate this noise from the valve, please what can I do again?

The audi has shims on top of the valves and they have to be put back on top of the same valve, and the valve have to go back in the same hole you removed it from. If you have got them muddled up you will have to use a feller gauge to find the lose and tight valve clearances and move or replace the shims. They come in different thickness and it is a bit of a process.

Did you grind the valves?
Did you check the gaps with a feeler gauge?

Did you reset the clearances with a feeler gauge against the rocker arms?
