I really don't care. But if I had to pick I would say ratings or comments. But like I said I really don't care.

Personally, I care most about the content of comments - appreciative comments, suggestions, constructive criticisms etc.

IMO, all a high view-count means is that you have an intriguing title and first image. It does not mean people have read and liked your work. Ratings have a dubious value - some people often plain forget to rate stuff, others "trade" high ratings ("you give me five stars and I'll give you five in return").

What I would care about more would be the I made this button that several people have mentioned elsewhere.

It depends who you are. I don't care about much, and that includes all of the above.
There's a ratings point 3~3.5 where if you're above it you may care that you did good, or below it that you did bad / failed to impress. Comments (like Kiteman says about Instructables) are only of any value in their content. If you've posted something good having 100 people acknowledge that with comments doesn't say much.
With KNEX which seems to me to be a fairly tight group, I think feedback in general (i.e. ratings & comments) is generally important.

Like Kiteman said, I care most about the content of the comments; whether it be the warm feeling you get when someone says "I made this and it's totally awesome!", appreciative comments, suggestions, or well thought out constructive criticism. If I put them in order of greatest to least, it would be comments, rating, and views.
