Voting for Burning Questions? Answered

Call me crazy, but in My Day, there was no voting involved in it. It was just a matter of did you answer the question well or not? So what exactly does getting votes do for the writer?

I think that the votes will determine an overall winner on who answered their instructable the best. Because I thought it said somewhere about the winner winning a super secret burning questions prize pack. I'm not sure, but that's how I think it's gonna work. Any who, regardless of if the votes matter my ible is very appreciative of votes. Hope I helped somewhat answer your question, but that's still just what I think, not what I know.

Yeah. Thats how it was back in the day. People want to be able to ask for instructables and vote on ones people think would be cool.

But the votes are for already completed instructables. For example, if you make an ible on How to Dance, I can than vote for it. Just trying to figure out why it's like that. Hopefully an Admin will reply.

Here read this.
If multiple Instructables from multiple users are submitted as answers to the same question, they will all be entered into the contest group. Once the contest closes, we'll pick the Instructable that answers the question best and declare them the winner. So, there's an incentive to check back in on the group, see who's submitting what, and make sure that your answer is the best it can possibly be! Hope that clears things up.

I'm not even sure that votes really matter in this contest anyway. There are many prize packs that will be given out to people not based on votes, but just the question itself.

In any event, why not go visit the 'Ible in 2nd place just for kicks.
