Wacky Races - for real! (where I was Thursday)
I got up early, spent a long time traveling, and fried in the sun to see a whole load of cars (at Goodwood). Here are some pictures.
(They're all built around car-chassis and run)

And my favorite team is the Ant Hill Mob and when they pick up the car and run with it. I think i have a really old Wacky Races ps2 game. I'm gonna go and turf it out.

I love the steam rolling tank, very nicely done. Any idea what the majority of these were made out of?

You've never seen Wacky Races?

Ahh, yes! I saw it once on a channel that specialized in "older" shows. Dick Dastardly was always pretty cool.

. It looks like most of them are made out of sheet-metal and fiberglass, but my eyes ain't what they used to be.
Reply 10 years ago
Hmmm, your eyes used to be eyes, so since they aren't what they used to be, WHAT ARE THEY NOW ? LOL

Abso-darn-lutely amazing creativity! You are very lucky to witness these cars in person. I wish I could have seen something like this. I love cars and car shows. From Lowriders, Hotrods, Streetrods, Ratrods, Trucks and Everything with an engine and tires! But creativity and individuality is what puts the flavor to it. Very sweet indeed! Thanks for posting the pictures.

This was much nicer, but I couldn't photograph the inside due to the light & windows...

Nice ride! The headlights throw me off. Is that 48-49 Mercury? Very nice ride!

Inside it's got skulls on the switches and such, "voodoo"-themed. You noticed the gold "tooth" on the front?

Ha,ha,ha... I didn't noticed. So freaking kool, way too nice. Do you drive? I have a 1964 Impala and a 1989 GMC Sierra, and my Silverado. The silverado has a 1984 corvette engine. But I need to work a lot before they're finished. I just hate to see them unfinished.

No I don't drive, but I like nice-wheels,
The Impala is very appealing, it has potential for being very nicely "done-up".

Yea we sat in ques for 10 min, but me and my dad have been down to goodwood for ages so we know all the cheeky shortcuts, we just had to que up to the first town then nip down a side street and its plain sailing

That's good going. Did you see the Wacky's moving?

It's too bad they all have that cheesy mass-produced Euro-Disney fiberglass look to them all. Did the drivers also come in costume?

YW, it was one of the first ones to come up under Wacky Races - 3 rd one down ... :-)

I meant those at Goodwood. (your clip is something I should have added though)

Oh I see, sorry. There are quite a few of them out on youtube though.

I did not know Nacho was a contenda...

I attended the preview, so they weren't running. Cheesy is what Wacky Races was (H-B I think?) so the look fits the theme (your point I did get immediately though)

I'm quite impressed with the camera, it was only a cheap £80 Canon thing, but if you go to full size they're nice and sharp. (and I'm cak at photography)
