What Is This??? Answered

I took apart a TV a couple months ago and I just noticed this in the CRT circuit. I think that this is some sort of big potentiometer but I'm not sure. Can anyone please tell me?

Could be. Or maybe a voltage splitter? I'm guessing it had something to do with adjusting the image's position on the screen - turn the knob to move the image up and down, or to prevent roll-over.

You're right. I found some stuff about it online. It's a position potentiometer.

I regulates the output of the HV transformer, general sort of "brightness" control. (I believe) L
