What a good night Answered

Yes the semester is finally over, I got a B in stats and should, possibly get a B in statics. I was actually fairly comfortable with the final, however that doesn't mean much. Right before the test, he states that being multiple choice, if your choices are 2,3,4,5 for example, that doesn't mean the right answer isn't 40, and then you would select 5. AGGHH! But for better or worse, it's over, now I can start refinishing my rifle, started right after I walked in the door and kissed my wife, and to top off the evening, I scored a 70's vintage sewing machine from the neighbors garbage, for parts, I haven't rebuilt the serger I found years ago, too many backed up projects. And the xmas party season starts tomorrow.

Aren't things on curves by default? I recall getting some 79% scores that were solid A's (Solid state physics. Twice the class average... :-)

Not according to his syllabus, [70-80) is a C , I can't remember if i mentioned it but when asked if he curved he said "normally, but I forgot to put it in the syllabus, so not this time", mind you he might have just been having fun with us. I'll find out Saturday.

Today was good indeed!

I presented my feedback controller to stabilize horizontal pendulums (using lego RCX :p). It worked, and the TA grading us was impressed that the controller was effectively using pulse width modulation to get around how stupid the motor torques available in the lego RCX :)

Yay PID controllers!

Tomorrow, I clean house and get out of finals mode. This place is a mess!

Sorry about that :)

The class is feedback control systems..... They let you play with legos for the second half of the courses labs. It either makes you love legos that much more -- or utterly hate them :p It really depends on your programming skills ;)

I already hate legos, I was a micronauts man as a kid, I had every city.
