What comes after sick? Answered

Spiffing, top-hole, wizard, hip, cool, groovy, fab, smashing, killer, bad, kewl, mint, sick  -  plus all the ones I've left out . . .
What comes after 'sick', or am I already behind the times again?

'Froody' has been around since 1878 - THHGTTG - Absolutely compulsive listening on BBC Radio4 on Sunday afternoon and 'groovy' since the dawn of time (almost).

I've just checked my copy of Chambers Twentieth Century Dictionary*, and the answer is sicker, also spelled siccar - an archaic Scottish term meaning sure, certain or firm. It may be used as either an adjective, or an adverb.

*p1257, if you're interested.

I believe you should get the updated Chambers Twenty-First Century Dictionary for your reference. Dang those school budget cuts where you have to make do with old books.

When I was growing up, in my household, what came after "sick" normally was "and tired" I often heard: I am SICK and TIRED of your tomfoolery....... ;-)
